Magellan’s Roadmate 1470, one of three the company quietly announced last week at the CTIA conference, is shipping from Amazon.  The Roadmate 1470 and its siblings bump up the specs on the old entry-level Roadmate family to be more in line with the Magellan Maestro.  Features include a 4.7-inch color touchscreen, maps of the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico, 6 million points of interest, multidestination routing, highway lane assist, spoken street names and AAA TourBook.  The GPS device is shipping for $229.99 from Amazon and includes a free Magellan Traffic Link power adapter–worth $80–if you make your purchase by April 30.
