Reports on the interwebs have pinned the unannounced Magellan RoadMate 1700 as appearing in the stock sheets of certain retailers including Best Buy. Similar to other RoadMate models with features such as North American maps, AAA tour book, text-to-speech, lane assistance and route planning, the RoadMate 1700 differentiates itself with a large 7-inch display. The large size probably means the RoadMate 1700 will be geared for truck drivers, RV owners, and other big-rig navigators. Expect the RoadMate 1700 to be announced by Magellan in the near future with an expected retail price of $299.
