MapmyIndia, a New Delhi-based mapping and GPS navigation provider, has announced that Version 3.0 of its maps are immediately available. MapmyIndia maps now cover over 90 percent of India’s population through comprehensive maps of 401 cities, 837, 695 kilometers of roads, 411, 625 towns and villages, and over 1 million points of interest.
The company has also announced a new and unheard of trade-in policy. Owners of old MapmyIndia Navigators can now trade in their old units for a new one with the Version 3.0 maps–for free.
MapmyIndia has had a busy year so far. In February the 15-year-old company raised $9 million to start an international expansion. In March the company announced dedicated maps for Garmin GPS devices.
