MapmyIndia, on India-based online maps and driving directions service owned by CE Info Systems, has raised $9 million led by Qualcomm Ventures, reports Medianama. Other participants in the funding included Kleiner Perkins Caulfield Byers, Sherpalo Ventures and Nexus India Capital, the latter of which previously invested $3 million in the mapping startup.
The company also provides the iNav cellphone app and the Navigator 2.0, an in-car navigation system. The funding will be used in an overseas expansion in 2010-2011.
