MapmyIndia has launched its latest GPS navigator, MapmyIndia Light, a 3.5-inch portable device weighing only 122 grams and sporting a thickness of only 12.5 millimeters.  Just as suitable for carrying in your pocket as mounting on your car windshield, the MapmyIndia Light features maps of 401 cities in India, 830, 000 kilometers of roadways, 400, 000 towns and villages and 1 million points of interest.

Geared toward young professionals, women and business travellers, MapmyIndia Light (also known as MapmyIndia LX130) comes in a glossy white finish, has a SiRF Atlas III GPS chip, dimensions of 99 x 74.5 x 12.5 millimeters, and a 900 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 2 hours of continuous navigation time and 32 hours of standby.

Available at the MapmyIndia website and at car accessory centers across India, MapmyIndia Light costs 11, 990 Rupees or roughly US$246.

    The best part of using a GPS in India, is that its really hot outside and you cant stop and ask every one on the road you dont know , your way. I didint know, GPS was in india and someone actually has an huge indian map . I am surely gonna buy this and try it out ..it better be good !
