Korea-based Mercury’s MD5000 in-dash navigator is nothing less than impressive.  Not only is it packed with high-end features but it features support for KT WiBro wireless broadband which enables greater-than-HSDPA-speeds when your vehicle is traveling at speeds up to 120km/h.  As for those high-end features, they include:

  • Monahan 624 Mhz processor
  • LG DMB chipset
  • PIP chipset
  • Mappy United software (still working on figuring out where this comes from)
  • Picture-out-picture, picture-in-picture, navigation-in-picture
  • Drag and drop functions
  • Trip display dedicated to QUUS, OPIRUS, SM5/7, WINSTORM, TOSCA
  • Black box accident recorder (12 seconds before accident, 6 seconds after)
  • FM radio tuner
  • AV out for rear camera and DVD player

The Mercury MD5000 is available in Korea for 1, 000, 000 KRW or about$991 in American dollars.  Check out more pics by clicking the read link.
