MiTAC’s PS535F Rugged Windows Mobile for Pocket PC GPS-sportin’ handset has cleared the FCC.  It looks to be a field device rather than a mainstream handset with its rugged design and stylus touchscreen.  Not only does it run on Windows Mobile and have built-in GPS, it also sports Bluetooth, Wifi, and a TacLink GPS user interface.  Other specs include an SD/MMC slot for expanding memory, a mini-USB port, Microsoft ActiveSync which synchronizes information between the pocket PC and either your desktop PC or Microsoft Exchange Server, voice recording and playback, text messaging, Microsoft Outlook and Calendar, Internet Explorer, and unspecified cellular radios.  There’s no details regarding release dates or pricing as per the usual with FCC filings.  You can check out a detailed 101-page user manual for the MiTAC PS535F at the FCC.
