MIUTech HDPC packs GPS, Atom AND ARM processors

It seems like the folks in Asia have a monopoly on purchasing all the cool toys.  Take for instance the MIUTech HDPC (hybrid dual portable computer), made in Korea…and only available in Korea in–count it–three separate iterations since 2006.  But in its newly announced fourth iteration, MIUTech says its looking for global partners–meaning the HDPC could potentially come to North America.  Something in me doubts it, but I can dream, right?

Especially with specs like this: Windows XP or a Linux-based OS for the main computer, Windows CE for the phone, a 4.8-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen with a 1.6 GHZ Intel Atom Z530 CPU for the main computer, and a 2.4-inch 320 x 240 AMOLED display and an ARM9 processor for the phone.  Dimensions of 6.06″ x 2.95″ x 0.91″ and a 10.3 ounce mass mean the MIU Phone is compact enough to fit in your pocket, 1 GB or RAM and a 32 GB solid state drive make up the memory, and the feature set is rounded off by a QWERTY keypad, GPS, Wi-Fi, a 5 megapixel rear camera with 3x optical zoom, 2 VGA cams for video conferencing, T-DMB, and finally, USIM, SD card, USB, HDMI, and HD audio slots are all included.

Previous versions of the MIUTech HDPC were priced at $500 for a standard model and $900 for a premium version.  Given the improved specs on this fourth version, expect to pay a little more if the dual PC does, in fact, hit North America in the future.
