Mobile Devices has announced the Dreevo 2, a wireless-enabled GPS navigation device, at CES. The Dreevo 2 includes:
- 4.3-inch TFT LCD display
- SirfStarIII GPS
- quad-band GSM/GPRS wireless connectivity
- hands-free Bluetooth option
- 312 MHz Intel PXA 270 CPU
- 128 MB RAM
- 512 MB flash memory
- SD card support
- USB support
Through a network of 350 content partners, the Dreevo ecosystem delivers a bunch of useful real-time features to the Dreevo 2. Live traffic updates, fuel prices for nearby service stations, speed camera notification, parking spot availability, local search, and instant messaging are among the connected features the Dreevo 2 offers. Most of the connected services are currently available on the European version of the Dreevo 2. Everyone else will be able to download the features they want from the Mobile Devices store sometime in 2009.
The Dreevo 2 will roll out worldwide in the second quarter of 2009.
