AT&T Navigator Goes Global With Navigator Global Edition, Available In 20 Countries

AT&T has become the first US wireless carrier to offer a GPS-based service offering international navigational capabilities today, announcing its AT&T Navigator Global Edition will be available in 20 countries. Not exactly global, but hey it’s a start. All North American countries, most Western European countries, the US Caribbean and the 6 Chinese cities hosting this summer’s Beijing Olympics will support the new Global Edition. The AT&T Tilt, Blackberry 8800, Blackberry 8820, Blackberry Curve 8310, Blackberry Pearl 8110, and Moto Q smartphones will all enable usage.
Features will be similar to the original Navigator service in the US including text-based turn-by-turn directions-in English, Italian, German, or Spanish-automatic rerouting, and a business index. AT&T’s Navigator Global Edition will be available for $19.98 per month. For full details, click the read link.
