Got an HTC Touch Pro? Want to give Mozilla’s mobile Fennec browser a go? Now you can, as Mozilla released an early build of Fennec today specifically for Windows Mobile-based Touch Pro’s. Fennec is being targeted at the HTC handset specifically because its 300 dpi display is one of the few handsets on the market with the resolution to support the browser, but sooner or later you can bet the mobile Firefox browser will work on any handset.
Being an early build, basically a pre-alpha, only guarantees you’ll get a “working, usable browser.” You’ll likely run into the odd bug here and there but if you tried the pre-milestone version, it’ll be better than that.
You can download the cab installer directly to your phone or, alternatively, you can download it to your PC and use Active Sync or Windows Mobile Device Center to move it to your Touch Pro.

Update: the latest news coming down the intertubes seems to suggest that this installation isn’t quite ready for public release unless you want to look at a checkerboard screen all day long.
