NDrive, the company behind the GPS navigator with the breathalyzer add-on, has four new GPS units launching in Portugal and they look mighty impressive.  Before I even tell you anything about the guts of these new PND’s, I must point out that they’re only 1.3 centimeters thin and weigh in at 110 grams.  NDrive claims the new devices are 40% thinner and lighter than any other PND on the market.  Hmm, I’ll have to check on that one, but nonetheless they are definitely portable.

As for the four devices, they include the 3.5-inch NDrive Touch Iberia Premium, 4.3-inch NDrive Touch XL Iberia Premium, 3.5-inch NDrive Touch Europe, and 4.3-inch NDrive Touch XL Europe.  They each come in 1GB and 8GB versions and feature NDrive’s 3D photo maps, plus the touch screens are light sensitive and support “gesture control”.  The units run between €139 and €249, or about $170 to $310 US.

There are no English Language reviews on the web. This would seem to indicate that virtually none have been sold in the UK or US. There are some Portuguese language reviews (where the products were developed and sold). The N Drive Touch XL can be bought for £130 in the UK but lacks features such as Lane Guidance, TMC and Bluetooth.
