Greg Skibiski, CEO of Sense Networks, just sent me an email from Nokia World saying that the vice president of location-based services at Nokia, Michael Halbherr, has just demonstrated Wi-Fi positioning on a Nokia phone. Apparently it’s coming out soon as a field upgrade to all Nokia phones with Wi-Fi. I don’t have details at the moment, but I’m guessing the demo was performed on Nokia’s new N97. I’ll let you know when I find out more.
