Nokia’s 6650 Now Available From AT&T

Nokia’s 6650 hit AT&T Mobility yesterday (not quite November 4, was it) at a time when Nokia is in desperate need of making a comeback in the US mobile marketplace.  While it currently leads the worldwide mobile market with 39% share, in the United States they sat at only 8.2% in Q2.  Barely ahead of Apple’s 5.7% before the 3G iPhone hit shelves everywhere.  That’s a huge drop from their 28% market share high back in 2002.

The Nokia 6650 has a clamshell form factor, runs on AT&T’s 3G network and is the company’s latest S60 handset.  Available in red and silver, the 6650 has built-in GPS and one-click access to AT&T Navigator, as well as other AT&T features like Video Share and Mobile Music.  It does have a pretty small display though, at only 1.36-inches.

Available now from AT&T stores across the United States, the Nokia 6650 will cost you $69.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and 2-year contract signing.
