Wireless operator Orange has announced the Tabbee, a 7-inch Wi-Fi “family organizer”, that will compete with rival O2’s Joggler.  The touchscreen device, designed to put “the whole web at your fingertips”, provides icon-based access to local traffic updates, weather forecasts, maps, and personal content like photos, videos and music.  Specific widgets can also be downloaded to the Tabbee or onto an SD memory card or USB flash drive, either of which can be plugged into the tablet.  It comes with a charging dock but it’ll provide up to three hours of portable use, according to Orange.  Initially the Orange Tabbee will ship in France, sometime in Q2, for €299 or US$402.
