The Palm Pre has gone on sale across the United States today; in fact, some stores on the West Coast aren’t even open yet. But with limited stock available in most stores, it’s best to get there early or you may miss out. Some of the East Coast stores that are already open reportedly only have about 100 units (some as low as 30), while retailers Best Buy, Walmart and Radio Shack sometimes have less than 10 Pres available. Palm’s Touchstone charger seems to be even tougher to find.
Most of the reviews I’ve seen so far look pretty good, and though the application store is pretty barren at the moment it’s apparently simple to navigate and setup for an app-filled future. Now we just have to wait for the Mojo SDK.
