Pioneer is set to launch a new premium in-car navigation system, the AVIC-F900BT. A navigation/entertainment system, designed to be installed in the vehicle dashboard, the F500BT also features Bluetooth, SD and USB connectivity, and an optional reversing camera. The 5.8-inch touchscreen GPS device uses Whereis mapping, and uses text-to-speech and turn-by-turn voice guidance to make navigation as simple as possible. A DVD player built-in to the F900BT pumps sound through Pioneer’s 4×50W MOSFET amplifier and delivered through the vehicle’s native speaker system.
Pioneer believes the future of GPS is firmly in-dash just as radios and stereo systems are now, and takes navigation a step further by integrating in-vehicle entertainment right into its GPS devices. The company believes this promotes ease-of-use and safety for its users. Look for the AVIC-F500BT very soon at an as of yet undisclosed price.
