Points Of Interest: Sprint HTC Touch Pro, Wayfinder, Reverse Geocoding, Symbian

Sprint HTC Touch Pro Coming: okay, so it was a little bit delayed, but the HTC Touch Pro will be available in select stores October 26 (not sure which) and all Sprint stores and online November 2.  It’s expensive though; try $299.99 with a two-year contract and after a $100 mail-in rebate and minimum $25 data plan.

Wayfinder Active Mobile App In Germany: Wayfinder Active is a free mobile application designed for outdoor activities like running and skiing.  Combining maps, GPS recording and stats, Wayfinder Active connects you to others with similar interests, share favorite routes, and integrates with online community Active Outdoor.  Making use of Navionics Maps, Wayfinder Active covers most of Germany.

Google Maps API Gets Reverse Geocoding: reverse geocoding converts a pair of latitude and longitude coordinates into an address, and its integration into the highly popular Google Maps API is provided for all 70 countries the Google Maps API is available in.

Skyhook Wireless Loves Symbian: Skyhook’s Wi-Fi positioning technology and XPS Hybrid Location System will be a big feature on Symbian’s OS v9.5, better enabling Symbian smartphones to more accurately, and in timely fashion, acquire location in both urban and indoor environments….
