Fujitsu Lifebook U2010: Rumors True, Hits Korea Packin’ GPS

Fujitsu’s Lifebook U2010 UMPC is shipping in Korea with an integrated GPS receiver and SiRF 3 chipset confirming rumors that began in a Vietnamese forum in July that hinted of an integrated navigational chip. Interestingly, the U2010 which can already be found in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan, didn’t previously have navigational capabilities.  Must be something special about Korea.

The Lifebook U2010 is powered by a 1.6 GHz Intel Centrino Atom processor, 1GB of internal memory and up to a 120 GB HDD although a 64 GB SSD model is also available.  It’s 5.6-inch screen boasts WXGA resolution and the UMPC supports 802.11a/b/g/n wireless LAN, Bluetooth 2.1+EDS all while packing in a 1.3 megapixel camera.

The 64 GB model is set to go at 2,590,000 KRW, or about $2255, while the 120 GB model is priced at 1,490,000 KRW, the equivalent of $1300.  Whew, priceeeeeeey!
