Rugged Getac V100 Notebook PC Gets Embedded GPS Option
Getac’s V100 notebook PC, a ‘mission-critical’-oriented tool designed for use by search and rescue teams and military personnel, is available with an embedded GPS option. Not a standard product feature, buyers can add both a GPS chip and 3G connectivity as optional add-ons. The 4.8 pound ruggedly built notebook boasts a super-bright 1200 NITS display, is fully compliant with MIL-STD 810F and IP54 standards for withstanding harsh environmental conditions, and has a 250 GB removable hard drive with a mechanism that physically protects it from shock during use. Driven by a 1.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, the Getac V100 also features up to 2 GB DRAM, integrated Bluetooth and a rotatable waterproof camera.
