Samsung’s Renown is set to launch November 19 and will be hitting Verizon Wireless stores December 1. At first look the $179.99/2-year contract price might look a little high for the unimpressive looking flipphone. In the end though, you’re paying for global roaming capabilities here thanks to an integrated quad-band GSM radio. Featuring a 2.3-inch LCD display, stereo Bluetooth, VZ Navigator, 2 megapixel camera, and a microSD card slot, the Renown also will have access to a slew of other VZ services. So, while Samsung’s Renown doesn’t necessarily boast the best navigational specs around, come December 1 it might be a solid choice for the globe-circling traveler.
