My ultimate mobile dream is to see a touchscreen-sportin’ Blackberry released one day with the usual keypad. Best of both worlds is what I want. For now though, it looks like I’ll have to settle for Samsung’s Ultra Touch S8300. A sleek, 12.7mm thin slider phone, the S8300 has a AMOLED WQVGA touchscreen and numeric keypad, assisted GPS with geotagging, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA, 8 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, integrated FM radio, and microSD support up to 16 GB. The one issue here is the lack of a smartphone operating system, but I think I could do without. There’s now word on release dates, territories, or pricing, but expect to get all the deets come Mobile World Congress February 16.
