Location-based photo sharing network SnapMyLife is attempting to utilize its user base of 500, 000 and billions of other willing participants around the world to put together a mobile photo collage of tonight’s global New Year’s celebration. I’m a bit late on this one and it’s already the New Year in parts of the world, but many of us can still participate.
If you’re interested in contributing, just take the following easy steps:
- Register for an account at snapmylife.com
- Take a photo between 11:59 PM and 12:01 AM tonight
- Email or MMS the picture to your personal upload address with “newyears” in the body of the message
- If you’re using an Apple iPhone your picture will be automatically geotagged. If not you can add your city and country in the text of the email
If you want to take a look at what others are submitting, head over to SnapMyLife’s dedicated New Year’s area. Earlier this month the Massachusetts-based venture, launched in April 2008, raised $5 million from North Bridge Venture Partners and Carmel Ventures.
