Denver-based Useful Networks has put together Snocator for the iPhone just in time for the snowboarding/skiing season. Downloadable from the iTunes App store, Snocator utilizes interactive GPS trail maps to show you exactly where you are on the mountain, adding in locations for all nearby ski lifts, runs, lodges, and terrain parks.
Available at most ski resorts in the United States and Canada with a Wi-Fi or data connection, Snocator also features details for more advanced mountain enthusiasts such as snow depth, weather info, and also sports a mountain cam. In future releases, Snocator will also include the ability to track their runs, find friends and family on the mountain, and other features to enhance its usability.
