Sony Ericsson C905 With GPS

Sony’s Ericsson C905, codename Shiho, is nothing short of impressive.  Slated to be officially announced by Sony June 17, the C905 features built-in GPS with AGPS support, and with an 8.1 megapixel CyberShot digital camera built-in, has the resolution to print geotagged photos up to A3 sizes.  The CyberShot camera features auto focus, face recognition, Smart Contrast, image stabilization, Best Pic, red eye reduction, xenon flash and photo flash.  A built-in accelerometer will change your pictures from portrait to landscape mode when you tilt your phone sideways.  The C905 also features a 2.4-inch QVGA scratch resistant mineral glass TFT display, a slot for the TV-Out Cable ITC-60 (another product to be announced on the 17th) that allows you to view photos and video on your TV, built-in Wifi with DLNA support, Bluetooth, and USB 2.0

The phone will be available in three variants, two with full support for UMTS and HSDPA, and have Copper Gold, Ice Silver, and Night Black color options.  The battery is good for 9 hours of talk time and 380 hours of standby time on GSM networks, and 4 hours of talk time and 360 hours of standby time on 3G networks.  Look for the Sony Ericsson C905 to be available in the 4th quarter of 2008, but we’ll know more come June 17.

U can use gps if the phone has a built in gps receiver. gprs is required only for assisted gps which helps to lock the satellite signals faster.
