Sony Ericsson has teamed up with Wayfinder to offer Wayfinder Navigator on the new Xperia X1 mobile phone. Users can search for businesses or an individuals name or phone number and Navigator will find the destination and calculate the shortest or fastest route there, by foot or by vehicle. We all know that the shortest route isn’t necessarily the fastest route, but real-time traffic and speed camera info makes sure Navigator picks whichever is optimal. Using routinely updated TeleAtlas maps, Wayfinder Navigator offers full navigation in 70 countries and positioning 150; map updates are included and users can even show their current position on social networks like Facebook. Whether or not you pay for the Wayfinder service depends on your location; it varies from a three-month trial license to a prepaid license for upwards of a year.
