Sony may have pulled out of the European GPS market a year ago, but the company is still going strong in Japan with the announcement of the NV-U3C.  The 3.5-inch GPS navigational device sports “PetaMaps” of Japan with phone, address and name search, walk mode and a Utopia Food guide providing reviews of over 12, 000 Japanese eateries.  The NV-U3C has both 2D and 3D map views and a Position Assist feature that maintains your location on the map if you lose your GPS fix in a tunnel or urban canyon.  Expected to ship April 21 in Japan, the Sony NV-U3C will come in silver, pink, and white color options and is still waiting on a price tag.
