
Sony Japan has announced the NV-U3DV GPS navigator, its latest addition to its Nav-U GPS family. Sporting a 6.1-inch WQVGA LCD screen with 480 x 272 pixels, the Sony NV-U3DV has an updated user interface from the NV-U3C, gesture control, Position+G sensors including an accelerometer, gyroscope, and pressure sensors to improve navigation in tunnels and underpasses, live traffic updates via an optional NVA-VB7 add-on, Sony PetaMap compatibility, a television antenna, and the usual codec support for audio, video and picture viewing. Hitting Japan on August 11, the Sony NV-U3DC will cost 65,000 yen (US$695).
