Sony spits out 4 HD camcorders with built-in GPS


At CES 2009, Sony has debuted four new high-definition camcorders all sporting built-in GPS antennas and NAVTEQ maps for picture and video geotagging.  A push pin marks the spot where each picture or video was produced and can be played back on the camcorder using its map index display or on a PC using Picture Motion software included with the purchase.  With the GPS, the camcorders can also automatically update your location on the map and reset your time zone when traveling.  Model names HDR-XR520V, HDR-XR500V, HDR-XR200V and HDR-XR100, the camcorders will launch in March priced at $1, 500, $1, 300, $1, 000 and $750 respectively.
