T-Mobile has announced the availability of the Google Android-based myTouch 3G for $199.99 with a 2-year contract.

Available in retail and partner stores, as well as online, the myTouch 3G is successor to the T-Mobile G1 and brings a new level of customization to the Android line.  The phone’s shell can be personalized with a personal picture, logo or design–custom-printed onto the shell before the phone ships.

The user interface can be customized as well with different themes, widgets, wallpapers and more.

One of the new features I like is the AppPack.  Preloaded onto each myTouch 3G is Sherpa, a location-based app that learns from your preferences in order to recommend places to check out; imeem Mobile which is a “smart” music streaming app; WorldTour which enables access to live webcams around the world; and, Flixster movies, a personalized phonebook, a FreshFace theme engine, T-Mobile visual voicemail and backup.
