tmobile g1 T Mobile rumored to be sending out free G1 replacement batteries

An unconfirmed report is floating around saying that T-Mobile is preparing to send out replacement batteries and battery covers for the G1 in the next few weeks.  Anyone who owns a T-Mobile G1 is well aware the first Android-based handset has battery issues.  With only 1150 mAh of juice, the current battery doesn’t last long.  But the replacement battery is reported to be 20 percent more powerful with 1400 mAh.  Hopefully this rumor is true.  Once you start actually paying for Android apps you don’t want to be walking around with a dead G1 all the time.  However, if the rumor isn’t true, there’s always the Seidio replacement battery fix.
