GPS Concept Designs: Seek Wristwatch

Scrap your Rolex people.  This is the 21st century and thus you should be wearing a watch with a 21st century design.  Kind of like this one designed by Jukka Roitto, Miska Vaisanen, and Jordan Siegler aptly dubbed Seek.  The strange looking wrist watch combines built-in GPS with music playback, so we sure hope it’s solar-powered or battery life could be an issue.  Otherwise, the Seek looks like a convenient touchscreen device that’ll help you navigate your way to you choice of urban hotspots.

Fujitsu’s Lifebook U2010 UMPC is shipping in Korea with an integrated GPS receiver and SiRF 3 chipset confirming rumors that began in a Vietnamese forum in July that hinted of an integrated navigational chip. Interestingly, the U2010 which can already be found in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan, didn’t previously have navigational capabilities.  Must be something special about Korea.

The 64 GB model is set to go at 2,590,000 KRW, or about $2255, while the 120 GB model is priced at 1,490,000 KRW, the equivalent of $1300.  Whew, priceeeeeeey!
