Blog Mac4Ever is claiming to have received details directly from TomTom regarding the iPhone car kit we’re still waiting for. According to the publication, the mount does have an integrated GPS receiver, supports the iPhones 3G and 3GS, and the iPod Touch. The car kit will also apparently support navigational applications other than the newly released TomTom iPhone app.
This will allow other applications to benefit from the improved GPS reception. Users will also be able to use the hands-free calling feature and charge their devices using the car kit. TomTom still hasn’t publicly announced an availability date nor a price tag.
