While I think we’ll start seeing GPS navigators packed with all kinds of entertainment features this year as companies attempt to thwart the mobile phone navigation revolution, TomTom apparently thinks otherwise. With the announcement of the TomTom EASE today at CES 2010 in Las Vegas, TomTom is seemingly looking to compete on price. The entry-level EASE doesn’t include much–just the usual everyday features.
- 3.5-inch display
- dimensions of 3.4 x 3.6 x 1.2 inches
- 6.1 ounce weight including the Easy Port folding mount
- Easy Menu interface with two-icon home screen
- text-to-speech with spoken street names
- Map Share community map improvements
- IQ Routes
- 2 GB flash memory
- preloaded Tele Atlas maps of the United States
The TomTom EASE will ship in both black and white early this year. The price has yet to be announced.
