It looks like the TomTom GO 940 Live is about to go live in the UK, popping up last week on Handtec’s website for pre-order. Very similar to the TomTom GO 930 with some added features such as IQ Routes, Advanced Lane Guidance, and HD Traffic, the GO 940 looks to be retailing for $399 plus VAT. As part of the package, TomTom looks to be partnered up with Google in a search collaboration, bringing powerful search capabilities to the GO 940 Live. You’re probably wondering what the whole “Live” deal is too. In the UK, Live refers to the subscription to HD Traffic and a safety database which starts off with a three month free trial and then around $10-$15 per month after that.
