TomTom has announced the GO 950 LIVE, GO 750 LIVE, and GO 550 LIVE connected PNDs this morning.
The flagship GO 950 LIVE features pre-installed Tele Atlas maps of the United States, Canada, and 45 countries in Europe including Malta, Turkey and Greece for the first time. Enhanced Positioning Technology enables the GO 950 to maintain a GPS fix in urban canyons and tunnels.
The GO 750 LIVE features maps for 45 countries in Europe, while the GO 550 offers maps of selected regions in Europe, likely the United Kingdom and Ireland.
All of the GPS devices offer TomTom’s full roster of LIVE services including safety alerts, fuel prices, and Google Local Search. In markets where it is available, TomTom HD Traffic will also be included in the LIVE services subscription. HD Traffic provides real-time traffic updates every 3 minutes enabling drivers to avoid major and secondary roads that are congested or slowed down by accidents or construction. Additional markets that will offer HD Traffic in the near future include Belgium and Portugal this fall, and Italy in mid-2010 through a TomTom partnership with Vodafone Italy.
Other features common to the GO x50 LIVE series include IQ Routes, which provides historical traffic speed measurements; Eco Routes, which provides the most fuel-efficient route; Map Share, which allows TomTom users to make changes to the device’s maps and share them with other users via TomTom HOME; and, an improved user interface which offers all LIVE services on one screen and improved menu navigation.
All of the TomTom GO x50 LIVE GPS devices will ship this fall and prices will be disclosed at that time.
