TomTom is bringing LIVE services to commercial fleets with the announcement of the TomTom WORK Active navigation package. It consists of three products: the TomTom GO 7000 GPS, TomTom LINK 300, and TomTom WEBFLEET.
TomTom’s GO 7000 is LIVE services ready, enabling real-time information like fuel prices, Google Local Search, and weather updates to be automatically delivered to the driver. Akin to the consumer-oriented TomTom 740 LIVE, the GO 7000 also features IQ Routes, which calculates the best route for different times, traffic speed and incident reports from TomTom Traffic, time and order management, two-way communication between drivers and dispatch, text-to-speech, and Bluetooth.
The LINK 300 is a combination GPS receiver and GSM/GPRS module that connects via Bluetooth to the GO 7000, and acts as a connection to WEBFLEET.
WEBFLEET is the platform supporting the entire package. It’s an online application for fleet and order management from which business managers can coordinate commercial fleets using real-time location data.
Available October 1, TomTom WORK Active will be available through the company business-to-business distribution partners.
