Toshiba’s TG01 is the first 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered handset on the market, or at least it will be when it debuts at Mobile World Congress. The Windows Mobile 6.1 handset has an impressive 4.1-inch WVGA resistive touchscreen with a virtual trackpad, g-sensor, HSDPA 3G, assisted GPS, 512 MB built-in memory, microSD slot, Flash and DivX support.
Toshiba claims that they’ve “taken all the technology from our TV’s and put that into the screen,” and if that’s the case, the TG01 may very well “revolutionize the mobile entertainment world,” a further claim by the company. While the Palm Pre is touted as the iPhone killer currently, the Toshiba TG01 may just be the closest thing to a Pre killer.
