UK Highway Agency announces mobile traffic information service

The UK government has taken traffic information mobile.  In anticipation of high traffic levels Easter weekend, the Highway Agency has announced a service that will provide traffic information from its website to mobile phones and other portable devices.  Based in a simple, quick loading text format, the traffic info service is optimized for smaller screens and should work with entry-level handsets as well as it does with smartphones.
