Yet another example of a cool GPS-including gadget we won’t be seeing outside of Asia (specifically Korea), UMID’s F1 UMPC not only packs a GPS receiver, but supports WiBro (WiMAX), HSDPA, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity. Powered by a VIA C7-M 1.2 GHz processor, the F1 has a choice of either 512 MB or 1 GB of RAM, and a 30 GB or 60 GB hard drive. It’s 7-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen displays the UMPC’s native Windows XP operating system and a full touchkey QWERTY keyboard, and displays television broadcasts picked up by the F1’s built-in DMB TV tuner. Finally it sports an FM tuner, and like a variety of other Asian GPS gadgets, features it’s very own breathalyzer. Is impaired driving a serious problem in Korea, or what?!
