Verizon will be launching its Wireless Network Extender femtocell on January 25. Built to extend the CDMA capabilities of your humble abode, the femtocell covers up to 5, 000 square feet of home–a rather big one–with CDMA supporting 3 simultaneous calls. Definitely a great addition to your home network if you have kids. It simply plugs into your internet source via Ethernet and you’re ready to go. Of course, if you’re planning to use the Wireless Network Extender to create CDMA networks outside of you’re home, you may as well forget about it now. The femtocell has a built-in GPS chip so Verizon knows exactly where you’re using it. Available in Verizon stores and online January 25, the Wireless Network Extender will set you back $249.99.
