
Verizon has announced the launch of its EVDO Rev. A-based push-to-talk CDM8975, successor to the CDM8950. Aimed at the working crowd, the CDM8975 features VZ Navigator, providing quick map sharing between workers attempting to get from point A to point B. Other features fitting into its clamshell form factor include Bluetooth with stereo audio, V CAST Rhapsody music and V CAST streaming video controllable via external buttons, a 1.3 megapixel camera and a microSDHC slot. Shipping today, the Verizon CDM8975 costs $100 after a 2-year contract signing and rebate. Push-to-talk is an additional $5 per month.
