
Visteon’s announced the immediate availabilityof a new in-dash navigation/entertainment system, the Visteon Navigation Radio System, featuring a 7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen, built in GPS antenna and a database of TeleAtlas maps with over 10 million POI’s. The navigational component also features touch controls and voice commands. The GPS capabilities are only a small part of the whole picture though. The Visteon Navigation Radio System fits into any vehicle with a double-DIN radio opening and boast iPod command and control, Bluetooth with audio streaming, disc playback for both CD’s and DVD’s, an AM/FM tuner, synchronization with steering wheel controls, and satellite radio compatibility. As if this isn’t enough, sound is pumped through 4 45 Watt amps and also has integrated 5.1-channel surround sound pre-amp inputs. Other connectivity options include USB and SD card slots, and RCA jack for A/V inputs, plus an input for a rear backup camera.
