Sex offenders…the worst of the worst within the criminal element. From my headline I’m sure you can easily derive what I think should be done with such trash, but Washington State is taking a less violent approach. A bill has been introduced to the House of Representatives to study the cost and feasibility of implanting GPS chips into the shoulders of sex offenders.
Undoubtedly this would be a more effective tracking solution than the ankle bracelets that are used now. Often cons just cut them off and then take off. But then again, some idiots are just worried about “civil liberties”.
Don Pierce, the head of the association that manages Washington State’s GPS tracking has this to say:
“I don’t want to infringe on anyone’s civil liberties. This is a very small population we’re talking about.”
What an idiot. The civil liberties of sex offenders, c’mon now! If the proposal is accepted, the final report will be due out by the end of the year.
