Google Earth Dives Down Deep To Protect Marine Life

by Justin on October 7, 2008

Google Earth is getting a new underwater layer as part of its Outreach program, focusing on threatened marine landscapes off the coast of England.  Beyond the typical Earth functionality, the service will also feature photo, video streams and stories.  Launched in cooperation with International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Google Earth’s new underwater landscapes aim to raise awareness about the unseen, underwater life we trounce on daily.
