I’ve always been a fan of the attractive, yet practical, design of Viliv’s mobile internet devices. In addition to the Viliv S7 we recently saw, the company has announced the Viliv X70 Communicator. Inside is a 1.33 GHz Intel Atom Z520 (Silverthorne) processor with the SCH US15W chipset, 1 GB of RAM, an 8GB or16GB SSD and a 30GB or 60GB hard disk drive. The X70 has a nice large 7-inch LCD display with 1024 x 600 pixels, WiMAX and HSDPA support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0. It also has an integrated SiRFStarIII GPS chipset like the S7 and S5. It can run Windows XP or Linux.
