The Nokia N97 mini, companion to the larger N97 smartphone, is of most interest.  With it comes Lifecasting with Ovi, the location-aware Facebook application hinted of yesterday.  Lifecasting with Ovi lets Facebook users publish status updates with location information directly from their mobile phones.  It’ll also be available to N97 users in October with a software update.  Dubbed the “world’s smallest travel companion” by Nokia, the N97 mini features a 3.2-inch tilting touch display, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a customizable homescreen, and a direct focus on Ovi Maps-powered navigation with a pedestrian mode and access to premium content from Lonely Planet, Wcities, and Michelin.  Owners will also have access to the Ovi Store from which applications, games and music can be downloaded.  Coming in October, the Nokia N97 mini will ship for 450 euros (US$639) before subsidies and taxes.

The Nokia X6 and Nokia X3 are both entertainment-oriented mobile devices.  The X6 has a 3.2-inch touch display with 16:9 aspect ratio optimized for media, Ovi Store access, 32 GB of onboard memory, and room for 20 friends or online communities on the homescreen.  The X3 has less of a social focus and more of a dedicated music orientation.  Also featuring a 3.2-inch display, the X3 is the first Series 40 Ovi Store-enabled device, and has a 3.2 megapixel camera, a built-in FM radio and stereo speakers.  Both devices will ship with Nokia’s Comes with Music application enabling unlimited music downloads.  Augmenting the functionality of the X6 and X3 are the Nokia Mini Speaker MD-9, a pocket-sized compatible speaker, and the Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headset BH-505.  Both phones are expected to ship in the fourth quarter of 2009 for 450 euros (US$639) and 150 euros (US$213), in order of mention above.
